I can't begin to tell you how excited I am to be working on this archive. The Alternative Media Project (A.M.P.) and the summer conference of 1970 has been a mystery to me for so many years, and all of a sudden these documents fall into my hands from the wonderful archival work that Evelyn Bates and Forest Davis continue to accomplish in the basement of the Eliot Pratt Library. I hope these files, along with other historical documents will help those of us currently at Goddard to better understand why we are here, and more importantly, not to be afraid to continue the great experiment set in motion long ago. As for the rest of you no longer at Goddard, thank you so much for what you did and tried to do, these archives are for your memories too.
If you have any documents, files, recordings, photos (yes, especially photographs of the summer conference, I can not find any) that you would like to share with this archive, please send me a note. And if you are available for a phone interview which could also be archived in audio, I would love to talk with you and collect those moments from the summer of 1970. Thanks again for this opportunity to discover a part of Goddard that had been lost to us.
